dIMORPHISMs*

The greenness is so green outside my bedroom window I may faint, swoon into a bottle green greenness, Prussian green, dimorphic greenery, so green I am green with envy green, a phallus switch-wood green, for flailing the innocence out of an upturned palm. Green is the colour of Absinthe and wormwood, crème de menthe and Chartreuse; a gamy leg rankle with gonorrhoeal pirouettes, syphilitic with fester and blain, gangrene green.

her teeth

she had no teeth to speak of
a no man’s land of fence stumps

and gate stiles

earthen up after an august storm
or a hard whack

to the mouth
